Pipe Sleeve :

A pipe insert sleeve, also known as a pipe sleeve or insert coupling, is a fitting that connects two pipes together. A cylindrical sleeve is put into the ends of the pipes to be linked and then welded, brazed, or press-fitted in place.

Here are some key characteristics and uses of pipe insert sleeves:

Types:

1. Welded sleeve: Welded to the pipes using various welding processes.
2. Brazed sleeve: Joined to the pipes using a brazing process.
3. Press-fit sleeve: Pressed into place using a hydraulic press or other pressing tools.
4. Mechanical sleeve: Uses mechanical fasteners (e.g., bolts, nuts) to secure the sleeve.

The purpose of a pipe insert sleeve is to create a continuous internal coating transmission at the junction welding section, shielding the welded joint area of piping from corrosive process fluids. This product can be made in a variety of sizes, grades, materials, and piping system configurations, and it can be used in the field jointing of both onshore and offshore pipeline installations. Pipe coatings made of liquid or powder materials work well with the sleeve.

Here is a comprehensive list of pipe sleeve internal coatings:

1. Epoxy Coatings
2. Polyolefin Coatings (Polyethylene, Polypropylene)
3. Ceramic Coatings (Silicon Carbide, Aluminum Oxide, Zirconium Oxide)
4. Cementitious Coatings (Portland Cement, Epoxy-Modified Cement)
5. Polymer Coatings (Polyurethane, Polyvinyl Chloride)
6. Fluoropolymer Coatings (Teflon, PVDF)
7. Silicone Coatings (Room Temperature Vulcanization, High-Temperature Vulcanization)
8. Urethane Coatings (Aliphatic Polyurethane, Aromatic Polyurethane)
9. Acrylic Coatings (Waterborne Acrylic, Solvent-Borne Acrylic)
